I’d heard about English summers but for some reason always still pictured rain…

So far we’ve had beautiful warm sunny weather since we arrived and have been taking full advantage. Don’t miss out on these things if you come to London in the summer!

Outdoor dining

If you’re in the city center, you’ll have lots of options around Soho or Camden Town. Marylebone is also a cute trendy neighborhood.

Afternoons and sunsets at the park

Bring a picnic or get a glass of wine at a park café. We live near Queens Park but Hyde Park and Regents Park are big and popular.

Local farmers markets for summer produce

Or Borough Market, good rain or shine.

Ride the London Eye

If this is the type of thing you want to do, there’s no better time than summer when the weather’s good as you’ll get a great view of the city.

Day trips

Take a train to the coast and walk the Seven Sisters Cliffs, or out to Cambridge to punt along the river – we’ll be doing these things soon!

If you’ve been to London in the summer, is there anything you’d add??
